Here is Hunter today. He just wanted to sit on the couch and just look and look and look at a slide containing intestine. He looked at that thing for about 30 minutes - just slowly moving the slide back and forth, up and down, just really giving it a good look over. I didn't expect him to pick up on it so incredibly well. He knows how to care for it, which knobs do what, and is super gentle and great with it. I generally would prefer him sitting at the table, but with as long as he has been studying the slides, I figured it was okay to do some sofa microscope work today. :)

Microscope Fun
So for Christmas, Hunter received a microscope. We have had fun with this thing every single day. We have looked at snot, blood, hair, and all sorts of random things. I wasn't sure how he would like it, but he loves it. The best part? He isn't the only one! Spencer and Cadence have been interested in it too. We have all pricked our fingers, pulled out hairs, and inspected the results. :)

Oh my goodness, I am such a proud momma. He really is such a smart little guy, and he just wants to know everything about everything. I promised him that tomorrow we would find new things to look at. Despite having pre-made slides, making our own slides out of bodily fluids and such is just really fun. Tomorrow, I am thinking we are going to scrape the insides of our cheeks. Of course, I really do need to stop to a pet store first - find some Methylene Blue for staining the slides so we can see things easier. Hopefully I don't go on some sort of crazy watch-list because I'm purchasing something so strange. :) Ah well....probably won't be the only time I end up on some watch-list for a strange purchase. lol.
